Client: The Video Standards Council
Company:
Tubers Studios
Role:
Script Writer, Producer, Director, Editor

This video was produced as part of a series of 6 videos for our clients at the Video Standards Council (VSC) to promote gaming as a family hobby by suggesting suitable video games to try.

The brief stated that the videos needed to be fun, educational and informative whilst keeping on brand with the Video Standards Council and PEGI (Pan European Game Information).

I also had to make sure that the videos presented the VSC as impartial, not showing preference to any games console, developer or gaming brand. I produced the format, researched suitable games, wrote the scripts, produced/directed the videos and then edited them, taking on client feedback and making any required edits.

‘Tubers have really helped us to improve the standard of the content on our website. We needed high quality videos that would get key information out to parents about video games and age ratings. But we also needed those videos to be fun and engaging so they’d hold people’s attention.’ Ian Rice, Director General, Video Standards Council

Client: Gutter Games
Company:
Tubers Studios
Role:
Producer/Director/Editor
I produced this video to promote the game ‘Beat That!’ for Gutter Games. After meeting the CEO at a trade event, we were briefed to create a new promo video in our studios that showed families enjoying the games, with genuine reactions.

The brief stated that the video had to be inclusive be punchy and be () long, suitable for future YouTube and Facebook marketing campaigns.

"It was a pleasure working with Sam and the Tubers team to produce promotional video content for our new family board game. The COVID-19 curveball struck very early on in the process and disrupted filming plans, however, Tubers were extremely professional and accommodating and ensured that a high-quality project was delivered as soon as it was possible to do so. The output was 100% on brief and I am confident will serve as a powerful advertising asset for months and years to come. Thank you to Sam and the Tubers team!”  Zak Walton, Director & Co Founder, Beat That Game! Gutter Games!

‘It has been a remarkable experience working with Nick and Sam at the Tubers Video Creators Academy. After a warm welcome in Exeter to have a tour of the academy, we wanted to partner with Tubers to produce a series of product videos focused on streaming and content creation. The studios in Tubers Academy are exceptional, and both Nick and Sam are great on (and off) camera. Our product videos were produced quickly and came out very well. We look forward to partnering with Tubers for more marketing initiatives in the future.’ John Junod, Brand Manager Associate, Creativity & Productivity, Webcams 2019

Client: All Churches Trust
Company:
Flotilla Media
Role:
Producer/Director/Editor

A short film I produced for the national charity, All Churches Trust to compliment the launch of their new website. The brief was to create a short film of a stonemason working on a stone carving of their logo with an emphasis on the craftsmanship, close up details and sounds.

The client loved the finish product and the video was rolled out as part of the website launch press release.

Client: McAfee
Company:
Tubers Studios
Role:
Producer/Director/Editor

Global security software company McAfee approached us to create an entertaining and thought provoking video to help promote their range of anti-virus software and online safety for Christmas.

Their original idea was to film children talking about Christmas gifts and the risks associated with them. I worked on developing the concept further, evolving the format into parents asking probing questions to their kids to create funny situations and awkward answers that sparked discussion between them, and in the comments!

The video went on to tally up over 200k views, over 350 positive Facebook reactions and hundreds of shares.

‘Thanks for getting the edit over to us so quickly – we love it!  Thanks (again) for doing such an awesome job! Kat Park, Senior Account Director, Hotwire Global PR (McAfee Project)

It’s been a joy working with Sam, Luke and Jordan.  They were professional, organised and delivered exactly to our brief.  Their project management skills in advance of filming and on the day of the shoot were great and they were sensitive to the dance artist’s needs on the day.” Julie Bladon, (Marketing & Development Manager, Exeter Phoenix)

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
