SHARE’s 2026 So Far…

Can you believe that we’re already over halfway through 2026? At SHARE, we certainly can’t! We’ve been so busy working on such a wide variety of video production projects and delivering content creation training that it’s gone by in a flash!

The past eight months have been perhaps our busiest so far, and we thought that previous years were jam-packed! We’ve won business awards, delivered creative career talks to students, completed exciting commercial video production projects with new and past clients, judged film festivals, and more.

Here’s just some of what we’ve got up to this year so far:

Small Business Sunday Award:

We kicked off the year by being selected as a Small Business Sunday winner by Ryman’s entrepreneur, Theo Paphitis. He personally chose the winners from all of the entrants to the competition, so we were blown away to have won!

In March, we travelled up to Birmingham to attend the annual Small Business Sunday conference for winners, where we picked up our award and snapped a photo with the dragon himself!

January also had us travelling up to London (which we’ve done a lot of this year!) to work with UK Interactive Entertainment to film and photograph their Video Game Industry Mixer event at London City Hall. At this networking event, game developers from companies like Epic Games, EA, and more were given the chance to meet and mingle with each other as well as education professionals to discuss supporting the next generation of talent through Digital Schoolhouse.

While in London, we also headed to Great Ormond Street Hospital to film some interviews for a new film for the NHS about genetic research that is saving the lives of children across the UK. As well as the shoot in London, we also filmed in labs of the RILD building in Exeter.

Ukie Conference and the UK Video Game Awards:
As well as the Ukie mixer event, the team also invited us to film and photograph their annual conference and UK Game Awards in March.

It was a fun, jam-packed, high-energy day full of interesting industry panels and talks from leading figures and companies within the games industry.

Two Short Nights Award Winners:

Also in March, we were absolutely ecstatic to win the Two Short Nights Film Festival 48-Hour Film Award at Exeter Phoenix, our third year winning an award in a row, with our parody of the Social Network, the Jaffa Network - based on the origin story of the Jaffa Cake and the lawsuit around its product classification of being a cake or biscuit (yes, this is actually real, look it up!).

Every year, this competition allows us to have a laugh and challenge ourselves creatively to produce a short film from start to finish in only two days.

NHS ‘Know Your Sh*t!’ Campaign:

In April, we were approached by the RD&E and University of Exeter to work on a series of videos to help promote their ‘Know Your Sh*t!’ Bowel Disease awareness campaign, in partnership with Exeter City FC.

We had a great time filming with Exeter City player and campaign champion, Jack Fitzwater, as he spoke out about his experiences with the disease and encouraged others to get tested. The main film was shown during halftime to over 7,000 fans, and when run on social media, the videos produced for the campaign resulted in a large number of new study sign-ups.

The Leeds Mindful Employer Network:

We were approached by Edinburgh University and the team at PHIRST Elevate to produce a research evaluation results video about the Leeds Mindful Employer Network, which featured representatives from Leeds Mind, Leeds City Council, Axiologik, and more.

In June, we spent time filming with these great organisations, filming interviews and plenty of b-roll.

Other projects:

We’ve also worked with Totus Neuro Rehabilitation, entrepreneur, language educator, and business influencer Olly Richards, Digital Schoolhouse Together with Nintendo, Taking Care, Epic Solutions, One Up Productions, and more!

As always, it’s also been great to continue working with our long-standing clients at the School of Natural Skincare, the Games Rating Authority, and Coastal Recycling.

Training:

As well as our video projects and films, we’ve continued to deliver regular video content production training through 1-on-1 and group workshops.

From training individuals and marketing teams to running more sessions at Exeter Phoenix.

Social Impact

As well as our commercial work, we’ve continued to support young creatives and filmmakers currently in education and the early stages of their careers.

Sam has been a judge in two student film awards, firstly in the Royal Television Society Devon and Cornwall Film Student Awards and also the Exeter College Next Gen Creative Media Awards, for Best Drama and Best Editing, respectively.

Sam has also delivered talks to Exeter College and local school students at Torquay Museum for a collaboration event with Into Film, the UK’s leading charity for film in education. Sam also took part in a careers panel for Arts University Plymouth Career Week.

Sam and Connor were even invited to attend the 2026 Into Film Awards, where young filmmakers are celebrated by industry-leading studios, including Eon Productions, Disney, and Universal Studios.

They got to see some shining examples of new talents’ work, as well as sip champagne with industry legends, including Peter Capaldi, Nick Frost, Hayley Atwell, Bella Ramsey, Jodie Whittaker, and more. (That’s right, us, can you believe it?!)

Reviews and Testimonials:

We’re also excited to say that after receiving loads more lovely reviews and testimonials this year, we are now one of the highest Google-rated commercial video businesses in Exeter and Devon!

Outro:

That’s just some of what we’ve got up to this year so far, and we’re looking forward to what the rest of 2026 holds!
